ReSale Donation Manager

Position Summary 

The ReSale Donation Manager oversees the daily operations of the ReSale Donation Team and manages all donation pickup, delivery, fleet, and cleanout services for the affiliate’s ReSale operations. This role is responsible for coordinating donation intake, scheduling pickups and deliveries, supervising drivers and donation staff, and ensuring efficient movement of merchandise between donors, customers, warehouses, and ReSale store locations. 

The ReSale Donation Manager also oversees the Cleanout & Removal Program, including conducting site visits, preparing service quotes, coordinating cleanout logistics, and ensuring proper routing, disposal, or resale of recovered items. This position combines operational leadership, customer service, logistics coordination, and revenue generation while supporting Habitat for Humanity’s mission and sustainability efforts. 

Key Responsibilities 

Donation Operations & Logistics Coordination 
 
  • Manage the daily operations of the ReSale Donation Team across all ReSale locations  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for donation pickup requests and donation-related inquiries  
  • Schedule and coordinate donation pickups, customer deliveries, and merchandise transfers between ReSale store locations  
  • Coordinate closely with store leadership regarding inventory movement, donation flow, and customer delivery needs  
  • Ensure efficient routing and scheduling to maximize productivity and customer service  
  • Monitor donation intake processes to ensure high-quality donor experiences and operational consistency  
  • Assist in resolving customer and donor concerns in a professional and timely manner  
 
Fleet Management 
 
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and scheduling of the ReSale fleet vehicles  
  • Coordinate vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, and service schedules  
  • Ensure drivers operate vehicles safely and in compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations  
  • Maintain required fleet records, documentation, and operational reporting  
  • Monitor vehicle usage, routing efficiency, and operational costs  
 
Cleanout & Removal Program Management 
 
  • Manage the affiliate’s Cleanout & Removal Program from initial inquiry through project completion  
  • Conduct on-site visits to homes, storage units, and other locations to assess project scope and provide service quotes  
  • Prepare accurate estimates for labor, hauling, disposal, and related service costs  
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, equipment, and logistics for cleanout projects  
  • Determine which items should be routed to ReSale stores, donated, recycled, or disposed of appropriately  
  • Ensure cleanout projects are completed efficiently, professionally, and safely  
  • Support revenue growth and operational sustainability through effective management of fee-based services  
 
Team Leadership & Staff Development 
 
  • Supervise, train, and support donation drivers and donation team staff  
  • Establish clear expectations for safety, customer service, productivity, and professionalism  
  • Foster a positive, mission-driven, and team-oriented work environment  
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and performance management  
  • Promote safe lifting, driving, and operational practices at all times  
 
Safety, Facilities & Compliance 
 
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, driving regulations, and organizational policies  
  • Maintain safe and organized warehouse, loading, and fleet areas  
  • Monitor equipment needs and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed  
  • Assist in maintaining operational records, reports, and scheduling systems  
  • Support loss prevention and risk management efforts  
 
Community Engagement & Mission Support 
 
  • Serve as a positive ambassador for ReSale and Habitat for Humanity in the community  
  • Build positive relationships with donors, customers, vendors, and community partners  
  • Help communicate the mission impact of ReSale donation and cleanout services  
  • Support organizational outreach and donation initiatives as needed  
 
Qualifications 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • Experience in logistics, fleet management, warehouse operations, moving services, retail operations, or related field required  
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred  
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment  
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities  
  • Experience preparing quotes, estimates, or service pricing preferred  
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and transport merchandise and materials regularly  
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required  
  • Experience operating box trucks, trailers, or commercial vehicles preferred  
  • Forklift certification or experience preferred  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling systems preferred
